The Daily Challenge: Balancing Tasks and Stress in Primary Care
One of the greatest challenges primary care doctors encounter is to effectively balance the numerous tasks within their workday. This perpetual juggling act often hinders their ability to complete tasks promptly, leading to significant daily stress. As a result, they find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle of frustration and diminished productivity. Within these difficulties, how can they navigate their workload to reclaim control and foster a healthier, more sustainable work environment?
Empowering Doctors through Efficient Task Management
To address this, we developed HealthConnect, a healthcare app designed to help users manage administrative tasks more efficiently, allowing them to dedicate more time to patient care—their true passion. HealthConnect intuitively mimics the experience of a friendly phone call, enabling doctors to effortlessly schedule and manage appointments, document and send patient records, handle medical referrals and prescriptions, review sick leaves, and prepare for upcoming patient encounters.
Intuitive Design for Seamless Usability
By designing a user interface that aligns with natural mental models, we ensured the app is easy to use, minimizing the learning curve and cognitive load. This focus allows doctors to concentrate more on administrative tasks without added stress.
Collaborative Vision
In collaboration with a backend engineer, I contributed to this project over the course of 12 weeks, ensuring that it meets the requirements and guidelines of a product ready for launch, even though it is not a real-world implementation.
