The Evolving World of Sports
In the dynamic pulse of the ever-evolving sports industry, young athletes every day face growing pressures to develop their skills from the earliest stages of their journey. However, should the focus only be on achieving results, or should we also prioritize safeguarding the physical and mental health of these young athletes?
Samba: A Holistic Approach
This philosophy inspired the creation of Samba, a comprehensive football mobile app designed for coaches, nutritionists, physical therapists, and other industry professionals, as well as parents and family members of young football players aged 7 to 13.
Monitoring Health and Performance
Samba's primary objective is to monitor children's physical and mental status through various inputs and questionnaires that assess mental health, training, tournaments, personality types, nutrition, and physical performance related to football movements. Additionally, the app provides users with the latest important news regarding their club, football academies, tournaments, and training sessions.
Designed for Catalonia, Ready for All
Designed specifically for the Catalonia region with a Spanish language option, Samba targets a diverse audience. While collaborating with an exceptional team of both a backend and a frontend engineer, my role as an interaction designer was to evaluate the entire app and elevate the user experience to a new extent, ensuring it's not just intuitive and user-friendly but also a joy to navigate, captivating users to stay on the app. This also included identifying and resolving potential areas of confusion or frustration to create an overall seamless journey through the app.
Creating a Strong Brand Identity
Another critical aspect of my role was to strategize, communicate, and reinforce the brand's identity and unique value proposition while the product remains in alpha testing, gearing up for its market launch. This project has been an incredible journey with a fantastic team, and I am thrilled to share our progress with you.
